Product Review: Braun 7526 Review
Summary: 5 Stars

Great product. Works well, ergonomically designed. Cleaning system more effective than manual cleaning. Highly recommend.

Product Review: No problems here
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased this for my husband after doing a lot of research online. I read reviews that mentioned the bases breaking. We've never had that problem and I purchased it well over 2 years ago. We've had no issues with the shaver system what so ever. I was a little skeptical and worried that I may have made a mistake when I bought it. However, it is like new still and no problems what so ever. We replace the cartridges when it says to replace them, clean the shaver regularly and it even sits on the counter where children might be tempted to drop it off the counter or push buttons. It still works like a champ and is safe enough to sit where little hands might have access. I am pleased with it and so is my clean shaven hubby.

Product Review: lousy shave
Summary: 2 Stars

Ive been using this product for 3 weeks now and it does a lousy job, doesn't get the hairs on my neck. I,m probably going back to my rotary razor and I will give this to my 16 year old.

disappointed

Product Review: a mediocre product
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this unit about 3 years ago after finally deciding to make the jump to electric. For about 18 months, it performed great -- good, close shaves and no trouble out of the cleaning/recharging stand. Then the wheels started to come off the bus. The first part to fail was the mechanism that releases the foil screen. There are two plastic "buttons" on either side of the razor just below the screen, and pressing them will release the screen. One of the buttons broke. Not a huge deal in and of itself but certainly frustrating considering this was a $140 razor (at the time) and it was only 18 months old. The next thing I noticed was the razor was no longer being adequately cleaned in the stand. Even after running through two or three consecutive cycles, there was still a substantial amount of stubble around the blades. Last to go was the mechanism that holds the foil screen in place. One of the clips either broke or just wore out, resulting in one side of the foil not being secure. The result? The razor would end up pulling rather than cutting at least once per shave. After putting up with this for the better part of a year, I decided it was time for a replacement. I opted to go with the Panasonic Vortex HydraClean ES 8077S rather than another Braun. When the Braun worked, it worked great. I just didn't think the high price was justified by the lack of reliability I experienced; after all, the razor had something wrong with it for 18 of the 36 months I used it. I think I can find another brand that will hold up better than this one. We'll see if Panasonic is it.

Product Review: Better than the Pulsonic!
Summary: 5 Stars

I just bought my 2nd Braun Syncro. I didn't need another one, as the one I've had for a couple of years still works great, but I wanted the clean & charge unit now, and the cost of the cleaner base was almost as much as a new Syncro w/base.
This is a bit long, but worth it, so please bear with me. I thought I might get a new shaver as this one i've had a while and wanted to try the newest technology. I wanted to try the Philips Arcitec(rotary), so I picked one up with a 30-day return policy. It was aweful... tore my neck to shreds and still didn't get as close as my Syncro foil. I couldn't go the 3 week break-in period that's recommended when changing from foil to rotary, etc, as my skin could not hack it(no pun intended), and I don't have very sensitive skin.. just average, I believe. Back to the store with it, and picked up the Braun Pulsonic, to continue my experiment.
Now... don't be fooled by all the fancy video ads and such that promotes the newest shaver. Firstly, the Pulsonic looks great, but it took many passes to catch what my Syncro caught on 1 pass. I now truly believe that this is due to the new foil design that comes with the pulsonic and other recent Braun models(my new Syncro came with this new foil, which has a flower-type pattern, instead of the circle pattern of holes in the older foil). Well, the Pulsonic does the job, and with very little irritation, but takes quite a bit longer than my old Syncro. In fact, after the 3 times I used the pulsonic, to the best of it's ability, I went over my face with the Syncro, and well, well... whats that sound? >> It's the Syncro taking off what the Pulsonic left behind.
Back to the store with the pulsonic, and I ordered another Syncro w/ charge & clean base, and couldn't be happier!
After a few shave experiments between the 2 Syncro's, the older circle-shaped holed foil of my older Syncro wins hands down for closeness and comfort. No need to put pressure on your face with the shaver, and comparable to closeness of a blade... no bull!!
So I've put the the older foil onto the new Syncro shaver, and I'm convinced this is the best shaver anywhere!
If you're a current Syncro owner, don't toss those old foils... they are worth their weight in gold in my opinion!

Hope this review helps someone searching for that holy grail of shaving! (like I was)
