I bought this replacement cutting head for my 3.5 year-old Braun syncro and it was like buying a new razor. The head is the new "octagonal" surface holes that was added to the newer design so, in essence, it can be viewed as an upgrade. It's worth the money.Product Review: Braun replacement head
