Product Review: Amazing - a tip for first time users

I have been depilating for about three years now and used to be a long time shaver. I will never go back to shaving. This epilator is the one I first bought and has lasted up till now...I guess they have to wear out sometime. I may have shortened the lifespan of it by trying to go over some places I just tried to wax...but nevertheless mine conked out in the middle of my session. The point is my hubbs ran out and got me the Remington to replace this one and it was nowhere as good as this Braun. However if I may spare some first time users some amazing pain by recommending that you get professionally waxed before you start using this product and then use it every other day in the beginning...maybe a month or so. It is absolute torture to use this for the first second and third times if you are hairy then you let it grow back because you are afraid to use it again. The third time I let my hair grow back I went to a spa and got waxed then resumed my usage with the epilator..wow what a difference. Now I epilate only every one to two weeks and it is still mildly uncomfortable but not like it was in the beginning. So take heart brave soldiers and don't give up. You will love this way more than shaving because you won't have those embarrassing prickly legs with hair stubs anymore. Epilated legs (as well as waxed) grow out smooth and soft and fine. Enjoy being hair free without the hassle of daily shaving. I am going to order another one of these, loved it way more than the Remington. I love it, after I saw how many five stars this machine has, I decided to give it a try, I was struggling to find the perfect hair removing method, did try waxing and shaving even thought about laser, but now I am so happy that I it, it even takes the tiniest thin hair, pain is ok, not too bad at all.

Wow... this is the TOPs of Braun line. I have been using Braun epilator since 1996.. I decided to get a new one cause I lost the cable/cord ,, but my old epilator is still running. Any ways You must learn how to use this product and you will love it:
to start using this epilator,, you must shave first than you use it aprox 3 to 5 days after your hairs have grown a little. Please dont use this epilator if your hair are about an Inch long, because it is going to really hurt you...
aprox the first 3 times you use the epilator it is going to hurt you,, but you will get used to. By the time you use the epilator more than 2 times... you will see your hairs growing thiner and thiner,,, and each time it will less pain and less hair growing...
Make sure you always use this product right after you shower or have taken a bath so your pores are open... DO Not use any creams or powders if you are going to use the epilator..
I dont know about the shaver part that come with this epilator cause I have no need to shave.
Maintain the epilator by cleaning it every time you use it. This product will last you for ever... Good Bye hairy legs !!!!

This is the first epilator I have ever used and I love it! I've only waxed my legs once in my life and HATED it b/c it hurt so bad and because it never got all the hair on my legs. I do not have a high tolerance for pain so I was a bit nervous about trying this but it really didnt hurt that much, its like a mild stinging (it helps if you use the protective thing with the little blue rollers that it comes with). AND it definitely gets the fine hairs too (like the ones on the thigh), you just have to go over the area a few times. I havent tried it on my bikini area yet, but the epilator comes with an electric shaver which is awesome if you are too nervous to use the epilator on sensitive areas. FYI Silk-Epil IS a bit noisy but I dont really have anything to compare it to except for men's electric shavers (its not too much louder than that). Oh, and the shorter the hair the less it hurts, I swear! I am not sure if this epilator would be great for everyone but it definitely worked for me and I have medium-coarse hair and pretty sensitive skin.Product Review: Amazing!

I discovered epilation while in Belgium and I will never go back to shaving. The Braun epilator is wonderful! It's fast and while a little painful - but what epilator isn't? - it is the best one I've used. The light is extremely helpful and highlights all the hairs. The attachments that come with the epilator are also SO easy to use and extremely helpful as well! I definitely recommend this epilator.
