Product Review: Best paper towels, ok price

I feel silly writing a review of paper towels but here goes...these are my favorite because they're 1)strong, 2) select-a-size, so you end up wasting a lot less paper towels, 3) mega rolls, so you don't have to replace empty rolls as often.
You do pay a bit more for the convenience of the mega-roll. The "=20 regular rolls" on the packaging is misleading- these are 160 sheets/roll, while, for example, Bounty Paper Towels, Select-A-Size, Prints (Case of 24) are 138 sheets/roll, so you're really only getting the equivalent of 14 of those rolls. If you get free shipping on the 24 pack of smaller rolls, they're .3 cents/sheet cheaper (though with this seller's shipping pricing that gap is narrowed to .13 cents if you buy 3 of the mega roll packs at once.)
In general, pay attention to roll sizes, as bounty seems to have absolutely zero consistency on their labeling of what constitutes a "regular", "giant", or "mega" roll. While you might get lucky spotting a bargain at costco or the like, this is a decent price for what can be a hard-to-find variety of paper towels.

Value! Bounty is a great value, does the job, less waste, really does do more clean up, than other paper towel products, by using less product, offers choices too, half sheets, or full sheets. Bounty makes a great product which, as another reviewer mentioned, is sneaking price increases at us by shrinking the number of sheets every year or so but keeping the price the same.
The Select-A-Size is the single most irritating "improvement" offered next to the shrinking quantity I mentioned.
Most of us unconsciously pre-determine the amount of paper needed for any quick cleanup. It's a system we've learned using the 11x11 size sheets. Egg-on-the-floor equals a single towel, impromptu paper napkin equals a single towel, a spaghetti bib equals a connected double towel and, well you know.
Now the tear-off procedure almost always tears in the wrong place for the chore. You get a half sheet when you need a whole sheet. Not only irritating but wasteful beyond belief because now you must tear an additional double sheet to make a former single-size. This increases product usage which, in turn, increases product cost.
My advice? Stay away from these Select-A-Shred towels and stick with the regular 11x11 Bounty.
The price in this Mega Roll offering comes to almost $2.95 per roll (delivered) which is a crazy premium (per sheet) to pay. What's the sense?
Costco offers the Mega (non-Select-A-Size) for about half that.

Product Review: Wow, this is a really high price for a good towel

Bounty towels, especially the select-a-size, are a good for cleanups and the like. Although they have been making the rolls smaller and smaller over the years, I still buy them because the towels don't fall apart when I am using them - you can actually use them to scrub.
However, this price is at least 10 dollars more than you can find it elsewhere, either Sam's or Target. So, feel free to look around elsewhere.
