My wife and I have used the oversize Bounty towels for years. They work very well for a host of kitchen tasks, such as wiping the counter, soaking excess oil off foods cooked in oil, and serving as napkins or dishtowels. The absorbent quality and ease of use can't be beat.
You can purchase a stand to place a roll on, and then easily tear off a sheet at a time using just one hand. We have one in our kitchen, and it does not take up too much counter space.
Bottom line: These work great.
Shop for price. I can buy these at my local Costco for less than the price on Amazon. However, if you do not have access to a Costco, or a similar discount store, as is the case with a family member who ordered these from Amazon on my account, then ordering from Amazon is the next best thing.
