Product Reviews of Bounce Fabric Softener Sheets, Free of Dyes and Perfumes, 120-Count Boxes (Pack of 3)Product Review: allergic reactions to bounce Summary: 1 Stars
I often suffer from allergic reactions to fragrances and other environmental chemicals. I just suffered one from Bounce. The reactions are instantaneous and significant. In this case it caused throat itching, formation of phlegm, and coughing. The management company for my vacation home uses Bounce on the bedroom linen. I arrived for the holidays and within seconds of laying on the bed I began to suffer allergic reactions. The next day I washed the linens with Tide detergent, no Bounce, and the reaction disappeared.
Product Review: good product, but they really need to work on the whole "perfume free" odor.... Summary: 3 Stars
Though, I am impressed with the satisfactory job these dryer sheets do, as far as getting clothing softer and less staticky, I am not impressed with the slightly sour smell that they leave your dried laundry with. It's a little on the chemical side, and I wasn't impressed. I think they need to go back to the laboratory, to work on this.
Product Review: soft clothes, funny smell Summary: 1 Stars
Ahh, now I finally know why our clothes smell sour after reading all the other reviews on this product. I had been re-washing, bleaching, hot water-ing, extra long dry cycle-ing all in attempt to get the sour (i.e. mildew) smell out. Would not suggest using this product.
Product Review: strange odor for scentless Summary: 2 Stars
I've had the same experience with the scent-free bounce. It smells strange out of the box, and when heated in the drier there is a strong chemical gas smell coming out of the dryer vent. It smells toxic. This hasn't happened with every box--only boxes bought recently. Did they reformulate and ruin a good thing? The laundry then smells musty and strange--not a pleasant experience especially when using towels and sheets.
