Product Review: It's Worked Well For Two Months--But Not Worth Paying More Than Dryer Sheets!

Sometimes creating innovative products that are "new and improved" is overkill and this Bounce Dryer Bar is one such product. Although dryer sheets tend to be very inexpensive (you can get a big box of about 100 of them for only a few bucks and they last you for a long time), the geniuses at Procter & Gamble thought they'd get cute and make this "dryer bar" to take the supposed hassle out of using dryer sheets. I've been using this product for a couple of months and it does a pretty decent job of softening the clothes and preventing static cling.
But what's the point of making a product that is much more expensive than the product it is supposed to replace? How hard is it to reach up above your dryer, grab a dryer sheet, throw it in with your clothes, and be done with it for pennies compared with this dryer bar? Plus, I learned the hard way that this convenience from the dryer bar can be a headache when I heard it rumbling around in the dryer. I thought some change got loose or something, but it was this dryer bar.
If the bar was CHEAPER than the dryer sheets, then MAYBE it would be worth it. But for the price you pay and what it does, just stick to your good old faithful dryer sheets. Your wallet will thank you!
Product Review: Leaves spots all over clothes

This dryer bar does everything claimed by Bounce well. It's what goes unmentioned that is the major problem. The bar leaves spots all over ANY clothes with any heft to them at all. Mid/dark blue or black jeans? Forget it. Even if the spots did rub off, (they don't, they just smear--ever tried rubbing off a stray spot of deodorant?) there are so many of them that it would take an hour per article. So back through the washer. Same result on khakis--less noticable doesn't mean nonexistent here. Light colors / light clothes don't show it or don't rub off enough of it. On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend wearing those to a place with UV blacklights either!! Mine has now found its appropriate place in the trash can.Product Review: Leaves white residue on dark clothing.

It works fine as a softener but it leaves white residue all over dark clothing. I ended up chipping the dryer drum getting the base off then had to use acetone to get the glue off. A total pain and not worth the effort.Product Review: Less waste, hate dryer sheets

I usually use the sheets. Once a load is done there are these nasty little used up dryer sheets that seem to make their way all over my house. I don't re-use them and are they really garbage or recycling? I put the bounce dryer bar on the "fin" of my dryer based on other peoples reviews and how it falls off of the drum. So far have done three loads and it hasn't moved one bit. Clothes are not overly perfumy and i also use the old fashioned dryer balls which i'm sure have whacked it several times. I hate dryer sheets they really don't even prevent hair from sticking to clothes (dog or otherwise) Dryer balls also come with a perfume stick that is insertable i think i might try that next. Great product thus far, better for the environment and it keeps your dryer smelling nice all the time. got mine at WM, the 2 month was only three dollars, not bad for just trying it!!Product Review: Like it!

I really like this product. Stick the brick inside your dryer and forget about it for a couple months (depending on how often you use the dryer). I dinged it one star because on the first load it left some white residue on my black clothes. After that first load though, no problems whatsoever. It works as advertised and I recommend it!
