Product Review: Everything was good until I washed a load of white clothes

Unfortunately, the word REPLACE was beginning to show in the bar when I put in my white clothes and it's in red, and so is the bar holder, and it turned all my white clothes pink. Ruined a nice blouse.Product Review: Excellent idea and environmentally friendly.

The people at Bounce really thought this one through and what perfect timing. The environment is on our mind and thus why keep wasting sheets of fabric when doing laundry...why not come up with something that does the same thing but without harming the earth. Voila...they have done it. No more sheets stuck in your socks or jeans....u know what I mean when you take out a fresh pair of jeans and find a bounce sheet in one of the legs. LOL. This product does away with that and provides the same quality as the sheets did. We love it here and it will/has become a permanent part of this household. You never forget to add the sheet...because its always there...and you don't waste fabric/paper when throwing sheets away...thus saving the environment.
Great product....my only con is that the adhesive seems a little week but time will tell if it stays stuck inside with the heat that it is dealing with. We have a GAS dryer...fyi.
5/5 for me.

The problem with this product is that the bar is exposed. It should be enclosed in a plastic grid or mesh. As it is, on a long drying cycle on a high temperature setting, the bar can leave a film or streaks on the clothes, because the clothes are coming into prolonged contact with a bar that is increasingly softer as the tempertaure rises.
I could imagine that, if this was the old way of doing it, someone would now be touting the brilliant new idea of dryer sheets, "So much more convenient than that old dryer bar, which was streaking your clothes."
I now leave this bar in the dryer when the latter is not in use, so that it keeps it fresh. Then, when I do some drying, I remove the bar and throw in a dryer sheet.

I go through a ton of bounce dryer sheets, so the idea that this would replace them for 2-4 months seemed great. Lucky for me I started the test on the kids clothes. First of all, the stupid bar would not stick in my dryer. Now that could be because I have a front loading high efficiency washer and dryer and it's possible that the steam cycle is knocking the bar off - but I hate the banging sound. On top of that - there were white streaks on my son's clothing. So that nixed that idea.
I did find a great use for this though - I stuck it to the back of the potty in the kids bathroom, and for the first time in 2 years it doesn't smell like something died in there. Little boys are NASTY.
Even though I found a use for this item - I could never recommend it to someone for the purpose they are selling it for.
