Product Review: Auric Blend Rasta Essential Oil

I have been using this oil for several years. I love the smell of Patchouly, however, it's much too strong for my sensitive nose. I stumbled across Rasta in one of our local "hippie" stores and to me, it seemed to be about as close as you could get to Patchouly, but not as strong. It's a combination of Patchouly and Opium. I have been having real trouble finding it available in VT, and I'm not sure why, but have since started getting it online. I can't function without it. To many of my friends, it's my "trademark scent". Do keep in mind though, if you use it, pay close attention to how much of it you use your first time, and take notes if people tell you it's too strong. It's one of those things where "a little dab'll do ya", and after wearing it for a day or two, you'll become immuned to the scent, just like with patchouly. As with any oil, it does not smell the same on every body. My friend tried mine because she loved the smell on me, but it smelled like dish soap on her skin. Thankfully, I do not have that same problem. I would (and have) recommend this to anyone to try. It's the best! And by the way...don't think if it's from a different company it will smell the same. Think Black (a stick of Gonesh Oils and Spices incense) meets Opium (by Yves Saint Laurent) and you've got a pretty good description of this scent. I ADORE IT! Ordered Sunday, received Wednesday. I immediately dabbed a tiny bit on one wrist and rubbed it around on both arms and my shirt. Wow! About an hour later I opened the porch door for the hunky UPS man and he said, "You smell good!" (I'm a frumpy 55-year-old housewife, so it wasn't a come-on.) Hubby loves it, too, and he usually doesn't comment on scents unless I'm wearing Estee Lauder Azuree. This will probably be for every day. It is potent, so take it easy. I like to dab on a teensy bit of oil and then spread it around with unscented lotion. This stuff really lasts, too. It's Thursday morning and still wonderful. Bonus: my sheets and pillowcases smell like a sultry Moroccan belly dancer slept there last night. (Dream on, Hubby.) And Tom's Incense really packs stuff well, with reasonable shipping. All around happy camper here.Product Review: Heavenly

I originally came accross this fragrance at a Wild Oats store in Albuquerque about 12 years ago. I also bought a couple other ones. Out of the others this is my favorite. The others gals are right...only a dab is enough because it is pure, undiluted essential oil blends. I ran out and then tracked it down at a Whole Foods store in Tustin, Ca. The bottled lasted about 3 years and then I tracked one down again at a spiritual store in Newport Beach, Ca. It's time for another. I have nearly 50 perfumes and essential oils and blends but this remains a favorite still.
Anyway, the patchoulli isn't overbearing as it can be while it's mixed with the other sweeter oils. It reminds me of the sound of Jamaican steel drums and incense burning in the warm wind while shopping at an outdoor market for hemp products and hand made items...a very earthy fragrance. If you think you can't handle this one as it may not be for everyone then try "Mystic Blend" (a happy medium) or "Aphrodesia" (a little sweeter and lives up to its name)

This is one of the most captivating scents I've ever worn. It's definitely a heavier fragrance, not one I'd wear in the spring or summer, but it is wonderful for the colder seasons. The blend is superb and sultry. The price is scent-sational compared to my high-end fragrances. And this one lasts all day and night!! I was looking for an oil that was different and this is it! Now like the others said it is strong when you first put it on, but the scent dies down through the day to a sweet, but yet warm fragrance. It does last all day! A co worker of mine asked me if I put some more of it on because she could still smell it and it was the same that I put on from the morning. Gotta love that! Oh and the men love it! Very exotic, but sensual. Ladies you'll love it!
