I really like this detergent.....the package is smaller and is recyclable, which is always a plus. As far as cleaning goes, its performace is great! My dishes get as clean as they do with conventional detergents. The citrus smell is strong but not unpleasant......at least to me, if you are sensitive to scents, it might bother you. Very effective at cleaning dishes. Only takes 1 Tablespoon to wash entire load with no residues or spots. If residue is left on the dishes reduce the amount of cleaner and this will solve the problem. I like the fact that it's MADE IN THE USA & has environmental benefits. The smell is quite nice, but I like citrus smells. I've found this item cheaper at other online sites when it's on sale. If it's not on sale elsewhere Amazons price w/free shipping is the best. I'd like to see it offered in 6 pack cases as 12 containers should last anywhere from 12 to 24 months depending on how many loads you wash per day. Not sure about shelf life of storing the containers that long. Plastic container is nice because it can be recycled and doesn't allow moisture to enter as has happened with cardboard containers. I also use Ecover & think that both products clean the same but I prefer the Made in America brand given all the recent problems with products made overseas.Product Review: Wow..this stuff really works!

We have a dishwasher that's over 20 years old and it's hard to find a dishwasher detergent that works, let alone one that is "green". This was on sale here on amazon so I decided to purchase a case. It works wonderfully...I was really shocked to see how well it cleans my dishes even when you only use a 1 tablespoon! I recommend it and will keep purchasing it to use. We ordered by the case and have been nothing but happy. Don't use too much--just a teaspoon or so in each load. We have hard water and they come out looking good. We also use Wave Jet Rinse Aid which is ecofriendly.Product Review: going green with biokleen

We've decided to start doing our part by switching all of our cleaning products over to products that are better for the environment.
With Amazon Prime we were able to save a lot of money buyng biokleen powder in bulk. It smells great and cleans pretty well. Every now and then I have to re wash a glass due to soap that stuck on the glass. Also it would be nice if the detergent came with a measuring spoon. (Even one spoon per case that can be reused would be nice) I ended up just using a plastic teaspoon which I broke in half so it would fit into the jar. Overall I feel great using a detergent that is better on the environment and it cleans just as well as my old detergent.
