I actually bought this and the other Bernard Jensen brush (the soft complexion one) for a completely different use and hope that tagging it as such might lead other cat slaves to these GREAT brushes... Bernard Jensen makes amazing quality products with natural bristles... I'm sure for people who want brushes for their skin, they are great, mind you (this one would be too rough for my female skin, though, which is soft and can't handle any dry skin brush type products generally)... I can at least attest to the quality since my own has come into contact with them for months and months on end now with no breaking down, no lost bristles, etc... but anyway, back to my real use, spoiling my cat!
For her ears, which I treat as a delicate area since she tends to jam her whole head excitedly into whatever I'm grooming her with (a nightmare when she's being "furminated!"), I use the soft complexion brush. This one, though, is what she LOVES having rubbed down her back and gets downright addicted to digging her cheeks into. You'd think I paid a hundred bucks to get this cat spoiling tool, and sometimes I use them together at once when she's standing still to be groomed... if your cat likes to be scratched or brushed with anything firmer than a cloth, I highly recommend this... if your cat really prefers an extra gentle motion or hates regular brushes (I don't mean pin ones, which my cat abhors the static and all else from)... this is perfect.
Sorry to be off topic for anyone who was looking for personal care... I can say it's of superb quality, the bristles being natural is a major perk (I hate the smell and feel of synthetic bristles, and static just adds insult to injury!), and the grip is also pleasant with the smooth groove making a nice slot for my fingertips around the brush... but yeah, my cat's superiority is best served with such a supreme brush :) I'd give it 6 stars if I could!!
