This is the same glucose monitoring kit that you can buy for much higher price $80 at CVS, Rite Aid or Target. The product is very easy to use and very easy to read. Test strips for this product are as expensive as similar product.
The good about this package is that it comes with 10 test strip to get you to know how the system works. I tried other glucose monitoring system, and they do NOT offer testing strips with the package.

I like this meter because it's easy to see results on the big screen, you can mark them for pre and post prandial readings, and the test strips are simple to insert and remove. Plus, the results in the large memory can be uploaded to your computer using free software from Bayer so you can see graphical monitoring of your blood sugar over time. The USB cable for uploading is an extra cost item, but it's worth the nominal cost. You can even email the results to your doctor.Product Review: First Time User of Glucose Monitoring System

This is my first time using a blood glucose monitoring system, and so far, I am very satisfied with it. It is easy to use, and I like the small carrying case for it. Reasonably priced. I'm happy with it. Thank you.

This is a nice easy to use glucose monitor. The test strips are expensive (even Walmart will charge you a buck a piece), but you can find them cheaper on EBAY. As for the monitor itself, go to the Bayer website, and they will send you one for free. Then they can charge you an arm and a leg for the test strips.Product Review: Good, simple to use product

I had purchased this for my mother who has to do constant blood checks because she is diabetic. The few things that works for this monitor are -
1. Very easy to use - I skimmed through the manual once and was able to relay the instructions to my Mom and Dad, who aren't especially gadget savvy, but they picked up the usage pretty instantenously
2. Quite accurate - I took a reading and the blood sugar level for my Mom was pretty accurate to what it should've been at the time. Yet to compare it with an actual lab report
3. The prick level can be adjusted to a small amount, medium and high. Try out which option works best for you and then use that prick level going forward. The prick was quite painless and barely hurt after the fact.
4. Small, portable and quite handy. Operation and measurement are very quick, with the entire process not taking more than 5 minutes
The only that I would say is something you'll have to keep in mind is that you'll need to purchase extra lancets and test strips for you to continue using this machine in the long run.
Otherwise, good quality, quite reliable and easy to use. Definitely recommend the product.
