I've been buying protein bars for my husband who needs nutritional supplements. He's told me that the Lemon Meringue Bars are his favorite. Since I have such a sweet tooth and find myself craving chocolate and sweets quite often, I decided to give one a try and am so glad I did! The bar is a wonderful alternative to a sweet desert or a candy bar. The crunchy bar is sweet and light. Coated with frosting (yogurt perhaps?). You don't get the grainy nutty taste like you get some protein bars. While it's the perfect amount of sweetness for someone like me (who craves sweets regularly!), I could see where it might be a little too sweet tasting for someone else. I actually think it's more sweet than tart, as some lemon flavors can be. While this is a good thing if you loves sweets, it may not be as good if you're looking for the tart or sour flavor of lemon. Little to no aftertaste, I'd highly recommend these bars for anyone who may be trying to watch their weight or needs to supplement their unhealthy diet, esp if they're a lover of all things sweet. Pass on the slice of lemon meringue pie and have one of these instead! I don't think you'll regret it!

I have become seriously addicted to these bars! Buying them by the case at my local grocery store! The sweet taste and crunchy texture satisfy my need for something sweet and are a much healthier alternative to a candy bar or cookie. My only complaint is that for some reason, Amazon isn't stocking these. PLEASE make these available once again!!
