Customer Review: BUYER BEWARE: Recipe changed in late 2010 and no longer as Balanced

I first submitted the review below a few years ago after I found these bars and loved them. In the intervening seven years or so, the company has changed the recipe twice: the first time was primarily to change the taste (and packaging), and I got used to the new flavor. This most recent change, which took place around the first of December 2010, has made me question whether I will continue supporting the organization.
To give you some background, I started eating these bars in 2004, and have ordered approx. 20-25 boxes (15 count) per year (yes, I average one per day, and have eaten over 2,000 of these bars), every year since. I have tried most of the flavors, but have always come back to the Carmel Nut Blast - it didn't taste "chalky" and satisfied my hunger better than the other flavors. In addition the low cholesterol, and sodium, combined with the 25% servings of all of the vitamins and minerals were big selling points for me.
This latest iteration has changed the consistency (they're more "fluffy", and don't hold up as well when tossed into a school backpack or suitcase) which makes them easier to chew, but have less taste, and are almost completely different in terms of nutritional information. Rather than being 210 calories, with less than 5mg of cholesterol and 150mg of sodium, the new model has 200 calories, 10mg cholesterol and 160mg sodium. Protein declined from 15 to 14g, and all of the minerals dropped from 25% to 15% of your RDA (still based on a 2,000 calorie diet).
I wish I knew why they took the "Balance" out of "Balance Bar".
I have a fast metabolism and tend to graze my way through the day. As I've been working out, I found the need for foods that would provide more protein and minerals without the fat and cholesterol.
I tried a variety of other protein bars, and they all seemed to taste like chalk; once I tried these, I haven't looked back.
The bars have a nougat base, and are then layered with peanuts and caramel, and covered with chocolate. While the caramel isn't the same as the kind found in your Milky Way or Snickers, the bar is far more substantial (holding of hunger for hours rather than minutes). At 210 calories, it won't ruin the day, but the 15g of protein is definitely helpful.
I definitely recommend this snack bar if you're on the go or working out. The Peanut Butter flavor is good too if you're looking for variety.
I eat enough of these that I've set up a recurring order to send me a couple boxes every month.
