The other Balance bars I've tried taste much better (Balance Gold, with peanut butter, I believe). These taste awful -chalky, cardboard-like. And it's not just me - no one in my family likes them!Product Review: They've REDONE them...and it's not good

I love the original Mocha Chip balance bars. They were terrific. But, they put them in new packaging (fine, who cares, right?) but they also re-formulated them and it's really sad what they've done to them. They're sickly sweet now, they have a cake-y consistency that's not appealing and there's barely a "chip" in sight.
It's all bad. I bought tons of these and ate them for breakfast. No more. The new ones are so bad, I threw out the ones I bought after trying a few times to eat them.

First I want to say I'm not a big fan of protein bars in general, I find most of them dry and tasteless. However these are moist and flavorful. Unlike some posters I didn't find them to be chalky at all. I love chocolate and find these to be a terrific and satisfying replacement for candy bars and with the protein I can feel good about this product as either a meal replacement or a snack.Product Review: mocha chip balance bars

My whole family loves balance bars as a quick way to get a breakfast start when there isn't a lot of time. We used to get them at Trader Joes. My youngest son and myself love the mocha chip the best. My other two like them too but I can get them a couple of other flavors. They stopped carrying any of our favorite flavors at Trader Joes. I decided to try a find them directly- online. When I did they came up on your site which we consider reliable and trust worthy and you had a good price and shipping deal. So we can't miss. Just don't buy too many at once so we don't get them too stale. The first shipment seemed like they may have been on the truck awhile. But we love them and have orded on 3 occassions and plan to again.Thanks.
