I love peanut butter so I might be bias, but these are the best Balance Bars available. They are soft, chewable and have great flavor. The bars I received 9/15/2008 expire 06/2009. So there is no issue here with expired bars. Great product! Use Subscribe & Save and do exactly that. I love Amazon.com.Product Review: One of the best nutrition bars PERIOD!

You like peanut butter but hate all the fat that goes with ot? then this is the bar for you. Its like eating a bar of peanut butter with no guilt. Sweet & Salty. I only wish there was more texture such as actual full peanuts inside. But I digress this is the most accurate representation of any flavor for a nutrition bar. I travel a lot and these are great to toss in your suitcase and not have to worry about them. They make a great breakfast or snack. They taste good and are satisfying, since they have carbs, protein and fat. The chocolate peanut butter is my favorite flavor, although you do need to have them with water.Product Review: Wrong purchase -- it's OK

I usually get the Balance Carbwell bars (in chocolate peanut butter), and I mistakenly ordered this in peanut butter flavor.

- soft / chewy texture
Cons
- high sugar & fat
- not covered in anything (it's just peanut butter throughout -- I thought there would be a hint of chocolate at least).
Other:
It's way too sweet for my liking (compared to the Balance Carbwell bars). I'm not use to all that sugar.. so I doubt I'll be buying this again.

These bars were delicious. I did find them for 99 cents a bar at Trader Joes, though it is very convenient to have the Amazon shipments come right to my door.
