We bought this item for our mother when she was released from the hospital. She is having some major mobility issues and since she lives by herself we are trying all we can to make normal everyday tasks easier for her. Medicare was only going to provide the shower chair that fits in the tub. That didn't work for us because her major problem is actually getting into the shower. So we found this chair and purchased it so she can sit outside the tub and slide herself in. It has been an excellent product for her. I would recommend this for anyone who has elderly to tend to. Nice bench. Adjusts to about any situation. Take your time and use patience in assembly. The box in which it was shipped was torn and some bolts were loose, but luckily they were contained in the plastic wrapper. I had all the parts. It was made in China.Product Review: great purchase

Needed something like this for elderly father. It's been a good choice. I had to assemble it but it wasn't too hard to figure it out by looking at the picture. No assembly instructions were included for whatever reason. It was a good price and it has been used everyday since in the shower.Product Review: Makes a big difference for me

This is so easy to use - makes it easy and safe for me to shower. It was a little tricky to put together. My son did it for me, but got the chair in the wrong place the first time. But it was very easy to fix up. The bench can stay in the shower while a normally-abled person takes a normal shower. Does have to be lifted out for a bath, but that's easy.
