The weekly "pre-pour" boxes my father was using were ok,but we had another family member who insisted on "checking"& mixing them up constantly-not good. This eliminated that variable. The meds.are "pre-poured",locked,& when the alarm goes off(2x/day),he gets the proper meds.at the proper time. After my father missed doses of his medications and continually went across the wrong way on his regular plastic pill container, spilled his pills many times, took 2 doses of the same pills in one day a few times and missed other days, I knew it was past time to do something about it or it could be a matter of life and death for him. I ordered this container for him and we've never had a problem since. It's a wonderful product and easy to use. I highly recommend it to everyone.Product Review: This thing is great!!

Our Mother has Alzheimer's and she was having trouble with taking her medications correctly. My sister was making 2 trips a day to Mom's house to make sure she had taken her pills, or not taken too many, or taken them too early. We ordered the e-pill dispenser, she has been using it for 2 months and it works great! She gets her pills at the correct time, can only get to the prescribed pills, and cannot get to the next dose until the alarm goes off again to signal it is time to take her pills. It took about 4 days for her to stop saying "what's that noise?" until she learned it was her 'pill thing'. Now she hears the alarm, takes her pills and when she has dumped them in her hand, the alarm stops making noise. In those 2 months we had to move her into assisted living and we wanted her to be accustomed to using the e-pill dispenser. The assisted living place charges $495 a month to dispense medications, but since she can take her own medications now we don't have to pay extra...e-pill paid for itself the first month. Not to mention the peace of mind that we both have that she cannot over or under medicate herself.Product Review: What a relief!

Mom has dementia and wants to stay in her own home, I was going to her house every day to set out her daily RX, if more than one day was there she would forget she had taken her RX and take more. This allows her to stay in her home, take her RX properly and makes my life much easier, knowing I don't have to go to her house every day.
I almost did not order this product as the dimensions are listed as 17 1/2 x 17 1/2 (which would be huge!!) The unit is actually about seven and 1/2 inches NOT 17 1/2, it is the size of a smoke detector.
Wonderful product.
