Product Review: WARNING!!!! DO **NOT** Refrigerate!!

First of all, this coconut butter is absolutely DEE-LICIOUS!!
As soon as I read the reviews, I went to my local Health Food Store and bought the large 16 oz. jar. I made a banana and coconut butter sandwich on whole wheat toast and it was scrumptious!!!
However ...
I made the mistake of refrigerating the product. This morning I couldn't get any out of the jar.
Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT refrigerate this coconut butter. It solidifies in the fridge and becomes hard as ROCK.
The jar does say, "refrigeration not recommended".
It should say, *** DO NOT REFRIGERATE ***.

BTW, I recently read a review of Tropical Traditions Coconut "cream".
Is Coconut cream the same as Coconut butter?
Anyone know?

This stuff is wonderful! I can buy it locally for about half the price. I like it on toast, pancakes, tea cookies, or just out of the jar. It needs to be warmed up a little to make it spreadable. Don't refrigerate it.Product Review: one of my favorite foods

This stuff is absolutely amazing. Like everything else I've tried from Artisana, the coconut butter is really something different, in a whole other league from other brands. I eat this right out of the jar. It's great mixed with raw cacao, raw agave nectar and a little sea salt; makes unbelievable raw chocolate fudge (melt coconut butter in a double boiler at 105 degrees, mix all ingredients, spread on wax paper and cool)!Product Review: so many uses!

i first discovered this product through the vermont country store catalog. however, it cost more for an 8oz jar than the 16oz jar costs on amazon.
i can't say enough good things about this product. i will eat it straight out of the jar. my favorite way to enjoy it is to put a couple tablespoons into a big mug of hot water. no sweetener needed. so nice on a cold evening! or anytime!
