After an allergic reaction to medication, I developed psoraisis over my body for a month. During the recovery time--and for two months after I could no longer use anti-perspirant. My doctor recommended I use talcum powder as a substitute. That was all right for the first month or so--because I thought the reaction was only temporary (and it was winter). As Spring arrived the mushy underarms that talc caused was no longer tolerable.
The doctor reccomended I find an anti-perspirant that did not contain aluminum. A&H was my choice because of the "household recognizable" name, albeit from the kitchen rather than from toiletries. I have not ecperienced any chemical burning--and I am odor-free without mushy underarms!!! I am not sure how others' skins will respond, but it is certainly worth the try! The only "con" was I thought it was a multi-pack--which would have been a terrific bargain. :-)
