Product Reviews of Arc4life Cervical Linear Traction Neck PillowProduct Review: Not Impressed Summary: 1 Stars
This pillow really gave me the worst stiff neck and headache. I am glad it works for some people, but it seems that it is a very expensive lesson to find that it does not work for you!
Product Review: Not for me! Summary: 2 Stars
I give it two stars only because the service I received was prompt and well documented. But the pillow itself has now rendered me unable to move properly.
I woke up in the middle of the night on the first night I used it with a searing pain shooting down my shoulder. Now, I have chronic neck and shoulder issues anyway, (hence the purchase of this pillow to begin with,) but this was completely off the scale. I was unable to drop my head, turn my head to the right or raise my right arm above the level of my shoulder. I tried it again last night using the other, slightly less supportive side and was fine as long as I did *not move* from my back. Once I was on my side, everything hurt. Sorry, but I just don't sleep like that... I roll and shift positions and and my pillow needs to shift with me. This is only a useful product if you are strictly a back sleeper and do not move. If you are more active, this is not the product for you. Alas, these are unreturnable due to hygiene reasons, so do your homeowork and try one out, if possible, *before* you buy it.
Product Review: Not for sensitive ears Summary: 2 Stars
I loved the idea of the pillow and was sold with the mainly good reviews. However, I found this pillow doesn't work for me either. I wished I had a better description of the pillow before I purchased it. So, I will try to describe it for you all. When side sleeping, you are supposed to put your head on the sides of the pillow and not the middle. The raised "V" shape makes it difficult to put your head in the middle when side sleeping anyway because one side of the "V" ends up right in your face and would make it hard to breathe. Anyway, I thought the sides were too firm and it bothered the outside of my ears. When I laid on my back, the part under my neck felt OK, but maybe is a little too high for me since I am a female. The biggest problem is the "V", which keeps your head in place, is that it is raised higher than the neck roll part. It is supposed to be that way according to the FAQ. Anyway, the "V" is directly under the ears and pushes/bends my outer ears forward. This bending of my ears has caused so much pain I can no longer tolerate the pillow. The pillow would be perfect if it was scaled more for a female, perhaps, and had cutouts for the ears. Anyone who has ever had outer ear pain may want to think twice about buying it.
Product Review: Not happy with it Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this in hopes it would help with my herniated c5/c6 disk in my neck. I thought it was overpriced but would pay just about anything to get a good night sleep with my current condition. This pillow sucks. Unless you are very comfortable laying perfectly flat on your back then it is of no use. You can sleep on your side but then its just like a regular pillow thats way too firm. I tried using it for a while and it was too uncomfortable. Im just going to by a tempurpedic.
Product Review: Ok Pillow Summary: 2 Stars
I didn't see much improvement. It is comfortable, but doesn't really help my neck. I know I wouldn't pay this much for the pillow again.
