Product Review: Great water bottle

For years I've been keeping one of those by my bed, so I can drink water all night and in the morning. I like glass bottles because anything tastes better when served in glass containers and they are very practical and easy to clean. Since I only use mine for water, I wash the exterior of the bottle and the lid, and for the interior I pour a few drops of detergent, very hot water, close lid and shake, then I only need to rinse it off. I ordered these for my boss and for what we were looking for they are great. They are a bit bigger than necessary and therefor heavier--I am scared of dropping one and of the shatter that would ensue. They arrived a bit dusty, so much so that we had to clean them a few times before using. Otherwise they are good bottles.Product Review: I own 11 of these containers now and am happy.

OK, I would have owned 12, but these are glass, and if you drop them they will break.
The glass is not exactly perfect in its thickness. Most people will just say 'Wow! a glass water (wine ...) container' and be happy. For the price I am very satisfied.

I keep hearing horror stories about plastic water bottles and I get shocked (with an electical charge) just about every time I touch metal so I started looking into glass water bottles since I drink tons of water everyday. I keep this on my desk at work and it's great because it's so big that I don't have to constantly go refill it. I probably refill it once a day while at work. However, the down side of it being so big is that it's heavier and it's not very travel friendly. I put it into the cup holder in my car once and it was so tall that my arm kept bumping against it, which did not make for safe driving, so I stopped doing that. I've also noticed that (especially when it's less full), you have to tilt your head back so much to take a sip of water (due to how tall/ long it is) that that's another reason why it's not safe to use this while driving. Also, it's unsafe to leave it in the car because the glass heats up so much that it would be too hot to touch. It's also so tall that you have to be careful to not knock it over. I've been using it for about a year now and it works great for me (since I work around all the negative aspects of it)! The plastic cap fits perfectly and I've had no problems with it. I wash it in the dishwasher because it's a bit difficult to wash by hand (since the mouth opening is so small and the entire bottle is so long and narrow). You would need to buy some type of a special brush with a very long thin (like wire) handle to clean it by hand. I gave one to a friend because she was also concerned about using plastic water bottles but she accidentally broke hers when she set it on a wooden floor at her exercise class and someone tipped it over and it shattered. She said it was not easy to clean up and so she did not want to use it again (when I offered her a second one). Hope this helps and happy shopping!
