Customer Review: Nice thermometers, but too small

The thermometers themselves are pretty nice. However, they are too small and a bit difficult to read. The strip is only 2 7/8" long by 3/8" wide.
Here is a tip for use and to make them last longer. Take a piece of clear plastic, such as a section from a Zip-Lock freezer bag, probably around 4-6 inches long by around 1-2 inches and place this on the patient's forehead. Now hold the thermometer over this for around 20 seconds or so. After use, you can dispose of the piece of plastic. This helps out from a sanitary standpoint plus prevents skin grease buildup on the back of the thermometer itself.
Although these types of thermometers are the least accurate, they feel particularly pleasant when a person holds one of these on my forehead.
