Customer Review: Did not do what I needed

I bought this product based on someones review that it cut through her dogs very thick hair. The product said it was just for trimming and I would stick with that recommendation. I tried to cut my cats very thick very long hair. It would not cut one strip even after I had trimmed the cats hair short with the scissors. The product did not say it was for shaving long thick hair but it did not meet my needs.

The Andis Super Deluxe Pet Kit is anchored by an ultra quiet, high-powered pivot motor clipper that is perfect for trimming around the face and ears. The clipper runs at up to 3,600 strokes per minutes. The clipper has plenty of power to fully grooming a washed and brushed dog. This clipper has four times the power of a comparable magnetic motor clipper. The blade adjusts from fine (size 10) to coarse (size 30) with the touch of a lever. This kit includes the pivot motor clipper, eight attachment combs, stainless-steel shears, a grooming comb, a blade cleaning brush, lubricating blade oil, a protective blade guard, a ?How-To? Pet Trimming Tips DVD and a durable storage case. Designed and engineered in the United States, Andis also offers a complete line of quality clippers and trimmers for consumers and animal grooming as well as a full line of wall mounted hair dryers for the hotel industry.
