Product Reviews of Andis 21420 Pro-Animal Detachable Ceramic Blade Clipper KitProduct Review: It didnt work as expected Summary: 2 Stars
I used this on my dog and used the smallest blade attachment. I had to go over the same spot on his hair multiple times to get it to the desired length. The blade that cuts is plastic and looks cheap. The only good thing is it comes in a nice little case. I would rather have a nice trimmer and keep it in a plastic bag. If I could do it again, I would just buy a wahl trimmer used for humans. I think that would work much better because they are known for making nice quality hair trimmers.
Product Review: Love It and So Do 4 Dogs Summary: 5 Stars
I researched this clipper and heard good things at a reasonable price.
We have 4 Lhasas and this was our first experience clipping them ourselves.
They loved it! And look great! Quiet, sharp, couldn't be happier
Product Review: My dog loves it! Summary: 5 Stars
After multiple tries with a cheaper Wahl product, I switched to this clipper. I will say, I have an 80 lb lab/retriever mix with long hair...these clippers peal the hair off. Much easier to use. For the price, this clipper is a must have.
Product Review: Not Heavy Duty! Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this Andi's clipper set at a local retailer and tried it at home on my Westie and it is NOT heavy duty. The clippers does not have enough power and I have to go over and over her coat. I was used to a Oster but was trying to save money and shouldn't have wasted my time. I cannot take it back to the retailer and Andi's won't refund my money either. They want me to send it to them so they can "fix" it. Its not broken, it just isn't what they say it is!
Don't even bother with Andi's, go straight to the Osters and pay the price because they're worth it.
Product Review: Not bad clippers for the price Summary: 4 Stars
As a former dog groomer I'm used to the Oster A5 clippers, which are great. At this time however, I wasn't prepared to pay for the Oster so I checked reviews and thought that the Andis clippers would be a good alternative. I have 2 small dogs, a terrier mix and a Heinz 57 with a very thick undercoat. The ceramic #10 blade it comes with does stay cool for much longer than the non ceramic. The blade guards it comes with, are great for the terriers thin coat and would be good for normal haircutting. For my other dog, well, the undercoat is to much for the blade guards. I have gotten through it, but it takes entirely to long. It's going to take another actual blade to do the work. Probably a #4 or #5 blade.
The clippers seem to be well made. I didn't notice them getting hot after the 1-1/2 hours of constant use. I think that they were a good choice. It'll be interesting to see how long they last. With only being used twice a month, once on the 2 dogs and once on my husband. Hopefully it'll be quite a while before I have to worry about replacing them.
