These clippers cut so close that anything closer you would have to Bic your head. This is my second set of Masters, I purchased a set about 12 yrs ago and it worked fine until i set it on the sink edge and they fell and busted the adjuster but I continued to use them for a year after that but just got tired of adjusting them manually so i purchased the exact same model and will have these for longer. I am currently working in Iraq and wanted to get a good, reliable set of hair clippers that I can use to maintain my bald head while here. I have had enough with the cheap $15 clippers that break and don't do a good job of cutting, so I splurged on these clippers which cost me $100. I have been unable to use the clippers at all because they apparently need to be tuned or something. They are incredibly loud, the blades are not centered on one another, and the blades swivel very easily. I am by no means a professional barber so maybe I am missing something here, but for $100 I expect a piece of machinery that is ready to go right out of the box. The instructions told me to tighten a screw on the side of the clippers if they were loud, but that does nothing. I am going to have to send the clippers back home to my brother hoping that he can bring them to a barber for a tuning and return them to me. I had an older Andis hair clipper that mysteriously went m.i.a. I'm not familiar with other hair clipper brands but familiar with the Andis reputation. These new clippers are very similar in design to my previous pair, but newer, quieter and a lot sharper. I have no real complaints about the Andis brand.Product Review: Clippers
