Finally - something OTC that works - I've taken this since early July 2007 when it came out OTC and have lost about 30 pounds, with 15 to go to goal. It's doing quite well for me. I've been using Alli for 6 months now and I am so pleased with the results. I have gone from a size 12 to size 6 and lost over 25 pounds. Before beginning Alli I began reducing my fat intake for 3-4 days. That way, I wouldn't have the treatment affects when I took my first pill. If I know that the meal I'm going to eat has ALOT of fat then I just skip the pill for that meal (I rarely do this - but it makes it possible to occassionally enjoy a meal that otherwise would make you sick on Alli). It's true that the pills only block a portion of your fat intake, but it's really a great motivator for sticking to your diet! I had tried for years to lose weight and nothing seemed to work for me. Now I'm using Alli, eating MUCH healthier than before, and exercising regularly. I haven't had any extreme treatment effects. Yes, sometimes there is an oily discharge with a bowl movement, but I have not had any clothes stained or ruined. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is serious about changing their lifestyle and losing weight!Product Review: Alli has worked wonders for me

I was on a low fat diet and was exercising 4 days a week prior to taking Alli but the weight was not coming off. I have been on Alli for 5 months and have lost 30lbs. pretty much eating the same diet and exercising as before I started Alli PLUS my cholesterol went down 58 points! I love Alli! I only had a few side effects the first week I used it, but it wasn't a big deal I think the side effects have been exaggerated. Or perhaps the people experiencing the bad side effects are eating too much fat in their diet. Used as directed it has been a wonder drug for me. Thank you Alli!Product Review: Alli is great!

A few years ago, I used another type of fat-blocker (a prescription medicine) which worked fine but made you have to go to the bathroom RIGHT AWAY! There wasn't much time to look for a bathroom if you were out shopping. Alli blocks the fat but doesn't make you have to go to the bathroom immediately, or if it does, it's not "unbearable."
I find that it blocks the fat for me, plus it helps with bowel movements. I know this sounds kind of gross, but it does work! I feel much better when I use Alli after eating a high-fat meal. You can't use it if you're eating raw vegetables (with no dip, etc.) or any non-fat meal. It's not intended for that. Since I don't eat 3 meals a day, the 120-count size bottle lasts longer. You must remember to take it when you begin eating the high-fat meal, or it may not work or it may take much longer for it to work.
I recommend it very much. When I get low on the 120-count size, I'm ordering another.

Works right after the first capsule. Expect to feel a little "gassy" for the first few days, which dissapears quickly as you follow all instructions that come with the package. I lost over 20 pounds in 3 months and highly recommend this product.
