Product Review: A Lot of Pain, No Gain

I was intrigued by the prospects of Alli. Isn't it wonderful? Just take a pill and you will lose weight and look great! It sounds too good to be true and unfortunately upon further research, I discovered that it is.
First of all, people lose very little weight. I found out that Alli is not a new product at all. It has been around for long time and sold by prescription. Then Roche sold the pattern to GlaxoSmithKline. Glaxo repackaged it, gave it a new name and started selling it as the new wonder drug Alli. This raised my first red flag. If the drug really worked, why would Roche sell the golden hen to Glaxo? I quickly found the answers right in the company brochure. It only blocks 25% of the fats!
You can achieve this only by skipping snacks or avoiding sodas! To mask the impotency of the drug Glaxo instructs to have a healthy diet and exercise. If the drug doesn't work, you do not follow the instructions! If it works, most of the benefit may be coming from your new diet and exercise any way. Very clever!
Second of all, I am really concerned about the health risks associated with the drug. In addition to the inconvenient and embarrassing well-documented side effects, I am worried that there are other long-term, more damaging risks which will start to emerge. I know that the drug was FDA approved but so was Vioxx, Ephedra and other drugs dangerous drugs. After all, this is unnatural, chemical way to lose weight. I will not be surprised if the concerns that it may cause cancer or other serious illnesses may turn to be true. I refuse to be the testing mice! I would rather go with a safer, common sense diet plan like Weight Watchers or Nutrisystem.
In summary, I found that Alli is a marketing product which plays perfectly to fast gain, no pain customers. However, after I took a careful second look I saw a lot of pain and no gain.

I enjoy this product. I think it is best if people follow the product directions very strictly. This is a medication and should be treated as such. Also, people should not consider it an end/all be/all for weight loss. It is a great product to help you lose weight. You will need to eat right, control your portions and get a good work out in each day. All of that PAIRED with Alli can help you lose more weight than without it. I find it to work well for me, and the "threat" of stomach cramping or other "undesirable side effects" is sort of an incentive not to eat foods too high in fat. This product definitely works if you help it along by watching your diet. I noticed immediately the help it gave because I was at a plateau in my dieting and when I took it, a day later a few pounds finally came off. I recommend this product highly because for people who are slow losers this can mean the difference. I was also amazed that I had virtually no side effects aside other than an extra trip to the bathroom if I ate the wrong foods. It is a phenomenal aid in dieting if you help it along!

I've been using ALII for about a year. I initially dropped 5 pounds and have maintained my weight since that time.
I stopped taking it for a week and gained 3 pounds right away. I do not take it 3 times a day because I only eat
one meal per day. Otherwise, I eat snacks. I only take ALII once a day and it works for me!

I like this product, I have not had any of the "terrible" side effects people talk about getting from using the product. I do watch what I eat though not much fat. It helped me lose weight and I went down 1 pants size. I am maintaining now.
