This drug works very well if you're following a fairly low-fat diet. It prevents some of the fat from being digested, so that means you're technically cutting a few more calories out of each meal. I'm about 3/4 the way through a 60 count bottle, and I've lost approximately 4 pounds, which is saying something for me.
If you mess up and eat a really high-fat meal (cheese enchiladas will never be the same for me), then you'll pay in a not small way. Another reviewer said it best: If you need to toot, don't. Unless your on the toilet. And don't grow complacent just because you got away with it a couple of times. It's unpredictable. Also, I would recommend purchasing some Cottonelle wipes.
To sum up, with Alli you still have to work at losing weight, but you get a little bit of wiggle room to help you along.
