Tremendously accurate, It's amazing how quickly you reach the legal limit that prohibits you from driving. Basically a few drinks and you are illegal and don't even feel like you've been drinkling.

I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is very slow to get ready and slow to recover after use, and often we get an error message repeatedly. The error messages says to try again. I wish I still had the box. I'd send it back.Product Review: Breath Alcohol Tester Saves Lives

I purchased this product for my 24 year old son, who is an alcoholic with one DUI & illegal U turn already. After the first dozen or so uses he decided that he must reduce his intake if he intends to drive home, and he will be relying on designated drivers and/or taxis much more frequently now that he sees the results of the test. Thank you, AlcoHAWK, he and I both believe your tester saves lives.

I bought this item over a year ago when my husband was deep in his alcoholism. It definitely won't 'cure' his disease, but it helped keep him accountable and regain my trust in him. Praise GOD he had over a year of sobriety, but has recently had a slip and is struggling again. I know that only prayer and our faith in our Lord will bring him out of this pit, but this is a great tool to help me avoid the feeling of being naive and a way of 'knowing' the truth. My 'husband' doesn't lie to me, but the disease of alcoholism takes over and 'IT' lies to me all the time. Our first unit fell under the couch and got crunched, so I am looking forward to owning another one and praying for the day I WON'T have to use it!!!Product Review: DOA

The item did not work out of the box, acting like the battery was low and would error out when taking the test. I tested several sets of different brands of batteries on a voltmeter and determined them all to be good, none of them helped this product work any better. I immediately returned it and purchased a similar model from this same company through Sharper Image, which stopped working two weeks later, claiming I was a .39 even sober (At .39 BAC, most people would need to be hospitalized). I followed all precautions set forth in the manual and feel these products are not made to last and others should spend their money more wisely.
