I just bought this because I was starting to feel a cold coming on like a freight train. Well, I started taking the stuff every few hours as the instructions tell you, and I am feeling great. The truth is that there is no reliable clinical evidence that shows that Airborne is at all effective in reducing symptoms or preventing the common cold. The one "clinical study" performed, at the behest of the company, is of extremely dubious quality (and the link to this study is not even on the product's web site any longer). While I have met people who have said that Airborne helps them, this is almost certainly a placebo effect. If you wish to research this product, Scientific American, The New York Times, and the "Orac Knows" blog web sites have good articles on it, and a little digging will find many more. Zinc lozenges, on the other hand, do have some clinical data to back up their efficacy, so I would highly recommend that you spend your money there instead.Product Review: I've never seen anything else work this good

About two years ago a co-worker recomended airborne to me when I started feeling a cold arrive. By the end of day after taking it was feling pretty back to my old self. I have not been sick ever since, I take it as soon as I feel concerned that I may get sick. I have my wife and parents hooked on it as well they agree it works wonderfully!Product Review: IT REALLY WORKS!!!

This is the first product that actually delivers on its promise -- it stops your cold in its tracks before it gets to be a full blown pain. I have avoided at least a dozen bouts with this great product and won't let my supply deplete when it's low. Just take one tablet dissolved completely in a small glass of cold water, and repeat a few times in one day. You will notice the difference right away! You MUST take it at the very first sign of the sniffles, even if it's a sneeze and tickle in your throat, don't wait. Take the tablets for one full day to allow them to really do the trick; pretty much you'll be guaranteed to rid yourself of the oncoming cold. The taste is great too -- just like orange TANG. The lemon/lime one doesn't appeal to me because it reminded me of Alka Seltzer, so I stick to the original flavor. The easy to carry cylinder makes it an easy item to carry with you during the day. I don't get colds very often, but they almost always start with an itchy, scratchy throat. I used to gargle with warm salt water, which would move the cold from my throat into either my head (sinuses) or my chest.
Well, the Sunday before Easter I started to feel the beginnings of a scratchy throat. I went to Walgreen's and bought Wal-borne. Took two doses Sunday night and two more Monday morning. And I was also gargling with salt water. All day Monday I felt progressively worse. Tuesday morning I woke up feeling 100% better! As if I had never been sick.
I've only had to use it that one time, and I'm sure I would have had my usual 3-week cold if I hadn't swallowed that Wal-borne on day # 1. I think everybody owes it to him/herself to try it, at least.
