I have had this humidifier since last March. I worked well for the few months I used it last year and then packed it away until this week when I started using my wood stove again which dries everything out!! I plugged it in refilled the deminerialaztion cartridge and it started running right away! I like this unit alot the only problems I have with it are
1. Cant clean the holding tank where the water heats up due to the fact it enclosed in plastic.
2. I have to refill it atleast twice a day. (not really the products fault im just using it in a room thats too big).
Other then the 2 listed problems I love this unit and would have given it 5 stars. As for one reviewer stated that their floors were soaked I have never had that problem. I have mine sitting on a shelf that is 3 feet off the floor and nothing gets wet actually you can see the mist disolving into the air before it hits the floor! I have had many units from honeywell to vicks to kenmore you name it Ive had it and they only usually last 1 season at most. Also as far as the white dust goes Ive noticed that if I dont change the cartridge soon enough I do get some but hey ive had some that completly covered everything even with a cartridge atleast the Air O Swiss cuts down on it. Overall for the cost I think it works well and does what it states. The only thing I wish is if it had bigger water tank. Maybe the next model!
