Product Reviews of the Adventure Medical Kits S.O.L. Thermal BivvyProduct Review: Perfect emergency kit item Summary: 5 Stars
This bag is the perfect size and weight for my emergency kit. It's small, light and easily portable. If there should be a true emergency where I need to sleep in an emergency blanket, I don't want to try and keep one of those small silver "space blankets" around me all night while my feet are sticking out or my arms are freezing. This is just what it says - a sleeping bag size & shape for emergencies. Not a bag to be used over & over for camping.
After receiving it, I waited for a cold night (cold is relative - here in California it was in the high 30's that evening). I left the sliding door to my bedroom open all night and slept in the bivy wearing a tshirt and underwear. I was very comfortable all night, so I think it would be just fine for a few nights if it came down to an emergency situation. I was able to roll it back up and get it back into the bag without much problem, and bought a 2nd one for my child. Love it!
