Important I think to have a dental as well as a medical kit around the house and certainly while traveling.
This is a solid basic dental kit. However, like me you may want to add some items to the kit like a mask, nitrate gloves, dental mirror and maybe a hemostat.
If you want to go beyond this basic kit check out Chinook Medical, whom I highly recommend, on the web as they offer some good alternatives at slightly more cost.

This kit has all the basics to temporarily restore a lost dental filling. Specifically, the kit contains detailed instructions for what to do if you lose a filling, lose a tooth, or have other dental/oral emergencies. The list of ingredients are as follows: 5 Cotton Pellets, 5 Cotton Rolls, Dental Floss, Dental Medic Instructions, Tea Bag, 100% Natural Pekoe Tea, Temporary Cavity Filling Mixture, 3 Tooth Picks, and 1 Wax Rope. The medication inside is 2 Anbesol/Orasol, consisting of Benzocaine 20%.
The kit is designed for TEMPORARY relief of pain associated with a dental/oral injury or mishap. The kits is designed for those who will not be able to access dental care for a short period of time.
The kit is lacking in one key ingredient; ideally, it should have a (liquid) medium to store a dislocated tooth in while travelling to a dental office for reimplantation. In a pinch, milk will suffice.
Dental fillings can be lost for several reasons: decay, fracture, or a faulty filling. It is important to realize that this is a temporary fix and not meant to last weeks or months. If your tooth has decay in it, the decay will continue to progress despite the temporary. Get to a dentist and have the tooth repaired professionally.
