Product Review: A light and fresh fragrance for men that women love.

This is one of the most popular mens' fragrances since it was launched by Giorgio Armani in 1996. The reason for its universal appeal its just the right blend of floral, fruity and musky notes to create an aroma that is pleasing for men to wear. And as a woman, I can vouch for its pleasant effect on my olfactory senses.
Here is the composition:
Top Notes : Florals/ Citrus - Jasmine, Rosemary, Hespiridic (citrusy)
Middle Notes: Fruity, fresh - Persimmon Fruits, Marine Notes
Base Notes: Woodsy, Musky - Cedar, Patchouli, White Musk, Rock Rose
The overall effect is not too overpowering, and the transition between notes is subtle. It's a fragrance that lends itself well to daytime wear as well as evening wear. I find it a very well balanced perfume that hits just the right notes and works very nicely for the "metro" man.

The fragrance counter employee at a Macy's mentioned (when I asked where the sampler was) that they had to put it away/by request only, because it was not only the #1 seller there, but it was also the highest stolen item at the counter. My point is, note that all the negative (low starred) number reviews are due to the buyer receiving a fake copy so be cautious of who you're purchasing this from.
As far as the cologne itself, it's just spectacular! The brother to this - the Armani Code (black packaging) is just as good, it's difficult to make your mind up. I am very picky and sensitive when it comes to cologne, and I am not a huge cologne wearer but this stuff is heaven in a bottle.
Product Review: A rarity among fragrances

Rarely does a product entice me enough in order to write a review for it. I have been using Acqua di Gio for the past 4-5 years, if not longer. As it stands right now, I will not wear another fragrance unless Mr. Armani should stop selling it. However, it seems that AdG is one of the top-selling fragrances, so that should not be a problem for quite a while.
I cannot and will not comment with the "woodsy" "dainty" "curry" or whatever descriptive words other reviewers have used to quantify this particular smell. Until the Internet implements "Smell-o-Vision" I don't think it's anybody's business to even attempt to quantify it with those words - you won't smell like the woods (thankfully), nor dainty, nor like curry (thankfully x 2). My advice is to go to the store and try it for yourself.
A lot of the users say "go buy this for your husband" or something along those lines. This is not the case - this fragrance is not for all people, nor is any other fragrance universally pleasant-smelling. People have their own distinct odors, and the fragrance that they use will complement their odor either in a positive or negative fashion. I personally smell horribly when I use muskier cologne such as Davidoff. I smell "eh" or just "ok" if I use Polo Sport - it doesn't really complement my natural smell very nicely... However, with AdG it's another story. This is the one and only fragrance that I've worn and received complements and/or inquiries as to the brand of fragrance. For me it works magically. I certainly hope it works just as nicely for you, but you'll have to experiment to find out.
So that is why I'm keeping it around, and why I'm writing this review. This fragrance is perfect for me. I've tried dozens of other fragrances throughout the years, yet nothing has smelled as good on me. By the way, when you try it out, don't spray it on the little paper tabs they have at stores. Spray it on your wrist (a light, gentle spray) and then rub it in. However, do not smell it just quite yet - let it air out for 10 minutes (go to the socks section or something like that so you get out of the strong-smelling section of the store [fragrance section]). Then take a whiff. Spraying the fragrance on a paper tab will only partially indicate how the fragrance truly smells when sprayed on yourself...
