Product Review: Wow!... and let there be light!

Unbelievably clear, clean BRIGHT light!!! This is my first try at full spectrum.
The light is so clean off these bulbs its unbelievable. If you are looking for a clean white full spectrum light look no further. Be warned however, one of these bulbs will light an entire bedroom. I placed one in a small lamp in my home office and my wife thought I was nuts. It poured out the hallway and looked as if a UFO landed in the other room. 45 watts is very powerful so if your looking to add these to a ceiling fan or multi-bulb fixture these will be way too powerful and most likely too large in size. All you would need is a quarter or less watts when using more then one.
Also these are large bulbs. Very large. If you need a bulb to go into a table lamp be sure to check the dimensions as it requires a lot of space opposed to a standard CFL or incandescent.
I plan on using this in my home shop now and maybe try them on some seedlings this winter. Will be looking to replace my other CLFs with these over time as long as I can get a smaller wattage.

I have no problems with the lights themselves, but they don't fit in a standard socket very well. They fit, but I can see it being a fire hazard. You have to screw them in really hard, and they still lean to one side. Nice upgrade from incandescent, no glare, easy on the eyes.Product Review: the most economical way to access full spectrum lighting!

My other full spectrum lights cost somewhere $90 or above for the hardware and $20 average for the replacement bulb. These CFL deliver the same effect, or better while cost far less.
The size of the bulb is about 2.5" diameter x 7.5" long (including the socket), so make sure it fits your fixture before jumping on it. As far as the full spectrum portion of it, it is very good.

My 4 pack arrived yesterday and one was broken in the box with no signs of damage to either of the two boxes (inner and outer) they were shipped in so it had to happen at the factory. Out of the remaining three, two work fine. They are BIG and bright. But the fourth has such a loud hum that you can hear it from 10+ feet away. So for the price I am not very happy. Sine Amazon won't replace this bad set I had to order a new set and these are being returned for a refund. Hopefully they will all be in one piece and will not hum but I don't have high hopes. Also one of the remaining two has a something in the base housing that you can hear moving around. The light works and doesn't hum but still these don't seem to be built well.
