Description of AFO Plantar Fasciitis Night Splints Wrap Large/X-Large
Sizing: Men's Shoe: 8 1/2 - 11 1/2 Women's Shoe: 9 1/2 and Up Tension straps work with a low profile, rigid stay on the plantar surface, functioning as a lever to maintain foot position and to provide plantar surface support. Compression-formed back hold the wrap in place and conforms around the ankle and heel for improved foot positioning. The HealWell? Night Wrap can be used to treat the following conditions: Plantar Fasciitis Arthritis Achilles Tendinitis Calf Muscle Cramps Equinus (Muscle Tightening) Runner's Cramps Heel and Arch Pain Achilles Paratenonitis Post-Surgical Treatment of the Foot Ideal for Elderly Patients Plantar Fasciitis is caused by repetitive strain and is the most common cause of localized heel pain. It is an inflammation of the plantar fascia and is a clinical diagnosis based on a history and examination completed by a physician. During sleep there is a normal tendency to plantar flex, causing the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon to contract from their normal active length. Nighttime contracture can result in significant heel and foot pain and discomfort for those with Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis or arthritis.
