This gel pack is the perfect consistancy to place over a sore incision. Not as hard as ice cubes and fairly pliable right out of the freezer. I used it to comfort a knee but is a good size for any other injury too. When I ordered, I was not aware the pack came with a case and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. This is a great product. I highly recommend it.
