Product Review: Hey, Smell This

Did you know that the part of the brain that is responsible for smell is the most evolved part of the brain? Think about it. You can get a whiff of a fragrance and it can immediately throw you back into memory land. Every time I get a whiff of that perfume "Charlie"...remenber that one? I'm back in kindergarten in Miss Baker's class.
I believe that certain fragrances and smells can generate certain responses in the human being. For instance, lavendar can produce feelings of relaxation and peacefulness; sandalwood can create feelings of bliss and centeredness, that dirty pair of chonies in the corner can produce blackouts and possibly death.
I got this set originally for my wife because she is really into Aromatherapy and from just casually observing the benefits she has received from it, I can highly recommend it. She used to have this challenge of letting things irritate her and cause her feelings of saddness and upset, well, whenever she is feeling overly anxious or upset, she puts a few drops of mint oil and a few drops of grapefruit oil into a large pan of steaming hot water and she puts a towel over her head and slowly breathes the mixture in and out, in and out and within minutes, she is calm and centered and grounded.
These people who balk at these ideas are probably the same people that are more than willing to shell out hundreds of dollars for things that pharmacies (drug pushers) are selling and who knows what the long range side effects can be. I love those pharmaceutical ads that end with, "May cause vomiting, liver failure, and spontaneous diarreah. Check with your doctor first."
Uhhhh, no thanks...I can smell my dirty underwear if I want those kind of effects.
But hey, try these oils. Get a book based on Aromatherapy and experiment. There are no side effects and who knows, you might like it.

Product Review: I LOVE THIS CARRIER FOR ME ESSENTIAL OILS

This essential oil case is perfect - I have no complaints. When stored upright toward the handle all of your oils are facing cap up, (as long as you put them in properly, with cap facing toward the "binding" of the portfolio). It easily takes 1/2 oz bottles in all rows if you do this. I now have my 55 oils alphabetized so I can find them easily - no more digging through one case to find what I need.
