I love this lamp. As previous reviews have stated, it gives off a calming, natural glow. My lamp feels heavier than described, but I'm certainly not complaining. The base is a nice, high-quality wood, and the cord has plenty of length to it (though not so much that it gets in the way).
The only downside is that when it was shipped, the light bulb was left rolling around inside the rock. Naturally, the bulb was cracked, thus needing a replacement. So my advice is to have a bulb ready, as I suspect others have had this same problem. Even though the bulb was broken, the salt rock itself was unharmed, packaged in bubble wrap inside the manufacturer's box that was inside a USPS shipping box.
Many other companies are selling similar products for 10-20 dollars more. This high-quality lamp is a steal--for the aesthetic value, healing power, and conversation starter.
