I got these patches for my CHRONIC TMJ pain. I missed work, laid in bed and cried at times because the pain was so intense. I was always bugging people to rub my neck/shoulders and even my jaw because I couldn't function. I have never found relief for it before. I've tried drugs, doctors, massage, physical therapy, etc. All of these "treatments" were temporary at best. Massage only helped for a few hours. Who wants to get addicted to pain killers?
I was skeptical, but was willing to try ANYTHING. I found relief after one use, and lots of relief after a few times.
I put the patches nightly straight onto each jaw joint/cheek on the side of my face. Also I use medical tape to put one on my chin. I put one on the back of my neck as well. I do this nightly and I can't tell you how much relief I get not only in my jaw, but my cheeks, neck, shoulders, etc. I use them on my feet too on the meridians/ areas that correspond to the jaw/shoulder/neck/teeth. These areas happen to be on the top of the feet instead of the bottom. The patches always come off of my face/neck and the TOP of my feet completely black. If I put one on my arm overnight, it comes off clean/white. Based on that and my symptom relief, they work!
Be prepared for them to smell awful straight out of the package. They are 67% wood vinegar. Who cares? Chronic pain limits your life so much. Taking a shower gets rid of the smell in the morning.
