This product attaches to the bathtub at one single point. It can pivot on this point easily. You cannot screw it down firmly enough so that it will not move back and forth when force is applied.
It took me two months, five e-mails, going to the post office to mail this, and $23 postage back and forth to get the refund.
That said, the company made the refund without any hassel at all. I would not hesitate to buy from them again if they were selling another product.

I have a bed and breakfast in my 100 year old house that has the original bathrooms, claw foot tubs and all. The standard wall mounted or over the side of the tub grips wouldn't work for me. After a chat with the representative I decided if I put a wooden block under the curled rim of the tub it would simulate the straight side of a modern bathtub. Works perfectly !! I researched this and other products for my dad. He needed help getting into the tub. He wanted the suction cup rail. After reading about them I wanted something secure. I saw the metal ones but I didn't think they would be good if it was wet. I found this and he loves it. He installed it himself! He has his toilet next to the tub and uses this to help him get up. It was worth every dollar!
