I have used Sharp and Derby blades so far. They both have a different feel at first, but once you adjust they both seem to give
a good if not great shave.
I like the Sharp blades overall since they are less expensive and yet still give me a good close shave.
I was using a Merkur 180, which was my first DE shaver. It lasted about a year before the threaded stud detached from the head.
I was disappointed when that happened but went ahead and ordered a Parker butterfly razor and am still getting used to that. I am also waiting on a Gillette Slim that I got off of ebay NIB.
So the blades do make a difference. but also the razor that are using makes a difference too.
Something to keep in mind I suppose.
