Product Review: Need to know how to use it.

I got this thinking I could use it just like wheat flour. I tried half and half for pancakes... After adding 8 eggs and arrowroot powder they sort of stuck together :( After all my work to try to make them turn out, the finished product had no hint of coconut flavor, but did taste a bit like eating sawdust must taste. Excellent quality and well packaged. Top notch fine flour (powder of dried coconut) smells heavenly and you can use in your cookie or other recipes. I find I can just add about 2 heaping TBS in place of some flour to my regular choc chip cookie recipe or peanut butter for added flavor and fiber. I have also added into my homemade pound cake recipes. And here I have compensated by adding a tad more liquid in the way of egg or sour creme etc to keep the moistness. I would highly recommend this product. So glad it's organic too. Quite a nice size bag even for me, as much as I bake. I'm sure you can add this powder to some smoothie drinks for a great boost of flavor and fiber. I did try a few of the coconut flour recipes but found they were too dense and chalky/fibery for my tastebuds. I'm into sweet treats that taste good, so that's why I am having success adding just a little here and there. If you plan to use it as a flour substitute, you may need to use tried and true recipes for quality taste and texture of baked goods.Product Review: yum

It tastes REALLY good. It's gonna take some practice because it doesn't act at all like all-purpose flour, but it always tastes good and is way high in fiber, so that won't be too painful ;)
